About the Opportunity: Principal Service Consultant

As a Principal Service Consultant at ProgramMatek, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering our Ceridian HCM solution to meet customer requirements. You will provide oversight and direction to project team members throughout the implementation lifecycle, ensuring successful planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post go-live support. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, you will facilitate customer requirements gathering, design the Ceridian solution, manage customer expectations, and identify and communicate risks and issues.

What You’ll Get to Do

As part of our implementation services, you will:

  • Support the project team in validating customer business requirements and mapping them to Ceridian functionality
  • Design and document innovative solutions to address customers’ business needs
  • Guide the configuration of the Ceridian application to meet customer requirements
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on strategic implementations
  • Lead internal project meetings and provide progress updates on activities and deliverables

In addition, you will contribute to internal implementation initiatives by designing and documenting solutions, sharing best practices, leading the SME program in your area of expertise, participating in process improvement initiatives, and actively engaging in continuing education sessions. You will also provide support during the sales cycle by reviewing solutions and providing feedback on scoping and estimation.

Skills and Experience We Value

To excel in this role, we value the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Master’s degree or postgraduate coursework is an asset)
  • 10+ years of experience in human capital management applications consulting
  • 5+ years of experience as a Consultant with Ceridian HCM
  • Solid experience in business process mapping
  • Experience in change management is an asset

Additionally, we require proficiency in Microsoft Office products and expertise in software in a SaaS/Cloud computing environment. A solid understanding of relational databases and SQL is desirable. Experience with other HCM applications, such as, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll, PeopleSoft, iChris, or Preceda, is also advantageous. You should possess the ability to effectively implement all Ceridian HCM modules and have expert knowledge of common HCM business practices. Deep Ceridian product knowledge in at least two Ceridian HCM modules is highly desirable.

You will need to present information effectively to different audiences and establish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Collaboration is key, as you will work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both functional and technical resources, product management, and development. You should possess the ability to influence customers to modify current business practices, as required.
